Administration

The Administration Department of the Clerk’s Office is charged by the Clerk with a number of responsibilities.  Included among these are:

Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, responsible for attending all meetings of the Board and recording and preserving the minutes of all proceedings; maintaining the Board’s records including ordinances, agreements and contracts, and resolutions; and the Value Adjustment Board.

Criminal Department:
The Criminal Department for the Clerk of the Court oversees Jury Management, Traffic, Misdemeanor, and Circuit Felony.

Civil Department:
The Civil Department for the Clerk of the Court oversees Juvenile, County Civil Courts, Family Law, Guardianship, Circuit Probate, Circuit Civil Division

Finance Department:
The Finance Department of the Clerk’s Office works closely with the Board of County Commissioners and all departments under the Board and the Clerk.

Recording:
The Clerk of the Circuit Court is charged by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Florida as the Recorder of all instruments that may be required or authorized by law to be recorded in Levy County. These duties and responsibilities are handled by the Recording Department.

In addition to recording, indexing and maintaining the Official Records, the Recording Department also issues marriage licenses.
